Is it ok to drive my car while the waterpumps not working??

. . . for a short distance to the work shop? prolly around 3-4km.

i reckon you'll make it.

probably shouldn't but as long as you keep a good eye on the temp and take it as easy as possible you should be right.

oh and as long as your system is full of water if the pump is leaking at any rate then you shouldn't really even run it at idle

hmm the pumps not even working at all. and i dont think theres is any water in the engine. so i take it, its a no no to even start it up??

yeah if you think there is no water in the cooling system then you shouldn't even fire it up

from memory and i've only just finished the unit (and don't remember much of it :oops: ) it's ok to start the car while there's no water in it - but not for long otherwise its definitely gonna do damage - i'd suggest if you are taking it to be repaired ask whoever is doing the repair

If it was going in for a new engine I'd consider it.

Otherwise if theres no water in there at all I wouldnt run it for more than 30 sec

awesome cheers for the help :o

i put in a new belt for the air condidtion, waterpump, s/charger pulleys, so is all good. as i speak it should be getting fixed well i hope.
