drive shaft balancing?

Postby deaf_rattle » Sun Jun 13, 2004 12:32 am

I think im going to have to modify the dirve shaft to suit for the 7mgte conversion.
Is it fine to just cut off the bit i need and then re weld it onto the shaft i want? and then go get it balanced?

and where to i go to get it balanced?

how much does a balance cost?

cheers

Just got mine lenghtened and balanced at automotive drive line in sunnybrae rd glenfield. All up cost $330. nice job done.
If your a good welder & cutter you could do that bit by yourself and the balancing charge on mine was about $120 I think.
Cant believe im still a member here.

You should investigate how much to fabricate an entirely new light weight one... Never know might be worth the money...
