wow thats really good for a bog stocka. especially since they are suppose to be only 128kw flywheel power which is about 109kw @ wheels with only a 15% drivetrain loss :?

What type of dyno was that on? hub? rolling road??

Yeah i was pretty happy with the result. There were 5 previous results by 1800 VTEC integras and mine was better than 4 of them and the top one only beat me by 4HP.

Umm, good question, not sure what type. Its the first time ive dynoed a car but the car was driven onto rollers (2 per wheel) set into the floor so does that help?

ahh you say that beat you by 4hp, as opposed to your dyno reading you gave in killowats? You sure it was 120kw you meant and not HP??

Thats awesome man. I was under the impression the 1800 vtecs made more power on dynos even though their on paper figure of 170hp is the same as the 4agze from what Ive read on Toyspeed and on NZhondas.
By any chance do u know if the vtec integras were autos?
Where did u get your dyno done?
Running 9psi boost? I thought standard was 8psi? Have u done the ABV mod aswell? What kind of intake and exhuast setup have you got?
Cheers.

Yeah unless its had cam work done in Japan, cos when graphed the power almost shows signs of tapering off at 5500rpm but then instead it kept increasing right through till 7000, where the 158hp was from.

Yeah I thought the 1800 VTECs had more power at the wheels too, thing is those engines seem to respond really well to basic mods.

I dont know wheather any were autos, although i did recognise a few number plates (reg) from the list they had posted on their wall and they werent autos. There were 2 1600 VTEC Integras which I know are manuals and they only managed 122 and 127HP ATW. Got it done at Harman Motors here in CHCH.

Yeah 9PSI, think it was a 4th gear run so you seem to get higher boost in higher gears. Na havent done the ABV mod.
Intake ive only got a K&N pod, no cold air setup on at the mo. Exhaust is 2.5' from flexi with one 2.5' resonator and one 2.25' resonator, then twin 2.25' rear baffled mufflers

Is it me or do Rolling Road Dynos give lower KW readings?
I got 173fwHP (128.6fwkw)in the lude oin a hub dyno, slightly higher than two others.
The 20v Toyotas were struggling in the 90kw area(this IS NOT a bias figure either), a 1600 Teg got 114.6 fwkw i think, and another 110fwkw.
And a GTZ managed 116fwkw with the belt slipping at 7000rpm i think.

Hub gives higher (maybe less accurate ) readings? Or vice verca?

Similar issues, my NA 16 valve only ran 173hp at the wheels on a rolling road. Dissapointing. Cheap upgrade will be to run it on a hub dyno, at least another 5hp or so!
