the dark gb on the left is a t-50, and the two in the centre are both w boxes. noth the black sandwich plate on the w-box (its silver on the box w/o the bellhousing)

also look for the position of the clutch fork
- drivers side for t50
- passangers side for w5x

Why has one w series box got a steel plate and the other hasn't?
My 4AG powered starlet puts out 227rwkw & 12.39 @ 115mph........ YEA RIGHT, Tui.

This means nothing, different cars have the slave cylinder on different sides. My W55 is on the drivers side.
Easiest way to tell is the sandwich plate (the dark section, but may be silver on some boxes), if it has one most likely a W series box. What sort of car is it out of and what engine was it behind? The W series are also a lot heavier than a T series.
