Never use those so called safe leads as if you know what you are doing you dont need them.
Most faults are dumb arses briefly connecting the jump battery backwards.
The next thing that most people do wrong is have the car that they are jump starting from running. This is a big no no as this is what causes spikes and damage to ecu's.
