as the topic says whats the average mechanics charged? left axel connected to cv.

shouldnt be to much I just got a new left axle seal put onto the box cost $45 labour so they pulled all that off an put it back i guess?

we do it here for $30 on a corolla, providing there's no prob's

nah theres a 32mm hub nut with a crown and a split pin through it undoo that buzz off the 2 17mm strut bolts get a soft mallet and tap the cv through outa the hub make sure ya put a bucket under the gear box incase it flows a rivver of gearbox oil and use axel stands

Or you could undo the ball joint via the two nuts and bolt at the bottom arm. That way gives the hub more movement and makes it easier to get the cv joint out,

thats how I'd do it... I think the strut nut/bolt is usually larger ~ 22mm
