i didn't think traction controll will keep your revs down? and do you actually lose that much tracktion on a dyno?

traction control held gadgets supra back on the dyno some how.. i forget..

well if my memory serves right anyway..

he was held to low boost or low revers or sumthing..

is the car FINE on road but not on dyno? if so it sounds simlar.. something to do wioth all wwheels have to be turning.. and on dyno there not.. just rear so it goes Hang on im wheel spinning must bang in traction control stop this out of control madness

Why do you think the rev counter limited the engine revs? The rev counter is purely a measuring device in the earlier Supras (like yours). The ecu is the thing that will limit the rpms.

Did you or the dyno operator disconnect the rev counter?
When it was revving, would it only go to 5k rpms? What about if it was in neutral? It could well be you have an ignition problem that shows up more in the upper rev range.

cause the monster tcho was hooked into the standard tacho feed it read the same as the standard tacho. but the system they used to dyno it with was hooked on to one of the plug leads and read 5000rpm while the monster tacho read 11000rpm. he said the factory tacho was out and was causing it to cut out at the true 5000rpm when it should cut out at 6500rpm.i have been told it could be the ignitor or something if any body has had this problem can they help. please

ma61s had alot of features for their time.

but no, no traction control, but alot more value for your money than buying an 86

I'd still have tried disconnecting the monster tach and then the entire dashboard if the standard dash still read wrong.

There is a guy in Wainui who was wrecking a few MA61s a little while ago and he may have spares (pm me for his number). Does it just cut out or does it run rough???
