water pump for a ae101 how much to fix

my car is leaking radiator fluid and its not comin from the radiator or the over flow bottle so i assume it is the water pump any one no wat im lookin at cost wise to get this fixed?
Now the Proud Owner of a Altezza Rs200 :D

Future ride = Altezza

on my sigma cost $450 incl labour and pump. If i knew how easy a job it was, i would have done it myself.

im getting my 1992 fxgt's water pump replaced as we speak.

costing me 350 all up for pump, cambelt and labour.

it's a pretty simple job.

the pump itselft is only like $80-100 at appco from memory

ive done it on a lada and it was piss easy. just have to take all the belts off ( make sure u put marks on the cam gears to keep track of the timing,) and then yeah just unbolt and replace, top up ater etc replace belts, make sure they are correct tension and yeah

Don't assume it's your pump - it could be something else like the frost clips/plugs which leak water but not from the radiator or bottle.

Yeh, get a torch at it and look around, like above could be frost plugs, possibly a joint somewhere or even a small pinhole in a hose somewhere!?
youre getting a puddle under the car?

we got it up on my bfs hoist at his work and we couldnt see where it was comin from, get a puddle under car sometimes big sometimes only a little its weird

That soundz exactly what my ae101 levin was doing, it was the waterpump. Easy job to do. make sure when its replaced, that the O-ring is replaced and check the seal. You dont want to put it all back together then have to remove it all.

Also, its not your aircon is it?. If the radiator is loosing water than obviously not, but occasionally people forget aircon drips when being used. Just a final thought before you pull it to bits.

tis defenatly green antifreeze Ae92typex,

but yea, dosent use water from radiator, just have to top up the overflow bottle every now and then
