It's easier than it looks and of course you don't have to pull the windscreen out. Take all the lower parts off (glovebox and everything at that level) then work your way up. It's all screws and clips you have to fight against, fewer than you'd think. Once it's off look out for the steel crossmember that runs through it all because the back of it is freakin sharp. I sliced my hand pretty badly on it.

Yes you do not need to take out the screen.

Will come out not to bad and you wont even have to remove the heater box etc.

dude look out for the bolt behind the clock surround and the one behind the small vent on the passenger side can be a pain if you try pull it off with those still there. It is pretty straight forward pulled a few out recently

ive got those 2 bolts in behind the clock and the vent on the left, i htink i got all others, but still not moving out.

do i need to pull off the part that surrounds the speedo first? or does that come with it?

strip everthing that atached to it. glove/b, centre dash, speedo cluster and all its surround. theres a bar that runs behind the dash. most of it is bolted to tabs that come off this bar so follow the bar from one end to the other taking off all the bolts along the way. other hiden around too i think.

that clock surround is a prick.
anyone have a solution to nicely filling the gap left behind?

Grab the wiper and headlight knobs and just pull them off.
Two large plastic nuts behind them.
