cams and lash caps

Postby Fred » Tue Aug 24, 2004 9:33 pm

Hey all, at first i was under the impression that a 272 grind wud b best for a 4agze with a sc14 conversion as the sc14 would help with the mid range and the 272's up top, but since then am wondering if the 264 grind is better? wud having a 272 mean lumpy idle and crap gains without an aftermarket ecu?

anyway the main point of this post was to get suggestions on what could be expected to be paid for an individual lash cap

thanks

only if you ask for them. the guy who bought the cams might have wanted to build up the valve stems instead

GRIND

Postby CAMB01 » Wed Aug 25, 2004 9:54 pm

A 264 degree grind is the maximum duration the ECU can handle, any higher and you'll have a bad idle, and leaning problems.
