Hi2u,

ok, I come home from work on Saturday for a shower before I go out.

Get home, do what i've got to do, go to leave..

I get in my car, turn the key and nothing! I have all my dash lights, stereo still comes on, but NOTHING happens.

It doesn't even click, or attempt to start..

It's not a battery issue, and it's definitely not my alarm as when my car immobilises it does something else~

Turning the key does nothing :(

Car starts everytime no hassles _ever_ and then this randomly happens ???

Is there something I need to check ?

Is it's auto make sure it's in park properly.

4agze never came with an automatic gearbox....

Does anyone know where the location of the starter motor is? or does anyone have a picture of it?

anyways - might wanna checkl the starter relay.. try some one elses if you can... atleast eliminating that from the equation. yip yip

Look for the fuse for the starter relay first. If does sound like there is a problem either with the relay, or in the feed to it if its not even clicking.
So check fueses (most likely a big one in engine bay) and the wiring to the starter relay.

Just to be difficult, the starter is on the back side of the engine (from memory) down by the bottom of the fire wall.

I had a similar problem with my gze and it turned out it was in fact my battery. Check it anyway! Make sure all the contacts are clean and firmly secured. It doesn't matter if your dash lights light up it can still casue trouble.

Especially when your car wont even turn, make sure its not your battery before you go and look into more expensive ways of fixing/finding out what the acutal problem is.

cool... i wonder if my ae82 4age starter relay fuse can replace my ae82's 4agze starter relay fuse??

mmm, my old man cleaned the leads and swapped the battery..

Definatly check the battery first, grab each terminal with your hand and give it a hard twist, if it moves then its too loose.

the starter motor, on a fwd, is right behind the exhaust manifold or extractors, easy to get to, just remove the heatsheild and its right there. See if you can get a voltmeter on the big cable that goes to the strater solinoid and earth- you should get battery voltage

jst get a old screw driver and short the start terminal and the main battery feed 2gether if nuthing happend ya starter motor is nacked . so go get a hammer give it a tap and see wat happens then. drive to your local friendly auto electriction and get the starter overhauled.

i pretty sure i know your exact problem, I had the same prob with both my ae92s!! and also my mate with his ae92 gtz had the same problem its a real easy fix as well.

I took it to the auto electrician, all he did was add a relay in right next to the battery tapping into a wire. my car has been sweet as since.
Once i saw how they did it, I did it on my mates ae92. relay costs like $7.

electricain said soemtimes old wiring can give voltage drops and there aint enough power to send to the started motor or to activate a switch or something.
