Would an LSD gearbox from a 4AGZE stand up to about 250hp?

easy, mines coping with 250hp plus at the wheels, no issues.

pumps

Postby CAMB01 » Sat Oct 02, 2004 11:08 pm

As i am putting this engine into an import AE92, i am removing the air-con, but will i have to remove the power steering as well? Coz i'm thinking the pump might get in the way. A mate suggested i relocate to the other side of the block, like on the supercharger, but i would have to change pumps, get a different bracket, and change hoses. This is all just too much hassle to me, so i was thinking of removing it if i couldn't have it.

You should be able to fit it all. And believe me, moving your p/s pump is a lot less hassle than removing your p/s all together. Not to mention cheaper.

I've decided to go to strong arm steering. I've got a mate whos good at removing things like that, he said it'll be pretty easy. Just gotta get ma hands on a steering rack. Can i use any old steering rack of does it have to be one from a NZ made GT corolla?

T-VIS

Postby CAMB01 » Wed Oct 06, 2004 10:27 pm

Anyone know how the T-VIS will go when the turbo starts boosting?
Don't really want to take it out it'll cause too much lag. Is there a way of changing its operation?

But there's no vacuum when you have your foot hard down either........???

They have a vacuum tank/resovior to hold vacuum to run them so it will still work ok as long as the one way valve still works.
