im not to familiar with those cars but maybee you could unscrew the hinges all together???

nope cant do that in 101's as all the hinges are internal and you cant unbolt it without opening it.

id find a second hand glove box from possibly this guy viewtopic.php?t=23983

then take to it with a screw driver/ any destructive tool you can think of without $&#$% your dash

yeah can't get at the screws, could possibley wriggle out one of the hinge pins but it would be a mission. Yeah so maybe 2nd hand glove box. Would a trueno GloveBox fit into a fxgt? Same dash?

Ours broke on our ae100. I used a crowbar to get it open. Although I don't usually use a crowbar on jobs like this, this was the only way I could see getting it open.

The little handle thing that controls the locking pin is pretty common. I got one from a 84 Corrola from pick-a-part. The only difference is it may have a different trim. They are easy enough to get in and out.

I've got into three locked and two unlocked glove boxes before (various vehicles) by jamming a screwdriver in the top and gently forcing them open, havent broken any yet either.
