...or if you drill 2 holes on the bonnet just above the throttle bodies there should be a mounting pin just to the left of the throttle body sensor where you can mount the tach so that it is in nice view of you jst in front of the steering wheel.
Then you can just plug it into the G sensor next to your oil cap wich will give you an exact reading right through your whole rpm range
