we have a ae82 fxgt....i drained the coolant system/flushed it etc...it had overheated once to 3/4 temp but never into red...now after i filled it and took it for a drive there is white froth in the top of the radiator (looks like when you add degergent to sink of water)...there was a bit of oil in the water i drained but no water in the oil,no water at all coming out the exhaust....blown headgasket or something else?????? 8O 8O

if its oil you have a head gasket issue unless you filled it from a old oil container :S

as for the frothing
well that can be jaust all the air purging from the system.im gathering you have just filled it up and without the right tool will take a little bit to get rid of it all throught the system

dont lose faith yet
just let it idle with the cap off for 15 mins
keeping ya eye on the water

you cabn come round if ya want and i could have a look (im in te awamutu)
but thats up to you :d

you say you did a flush, did you use a chemical type?

in the past ive encounted symtoms like yours, when the chemical flush wasnt flushed properly with fresh water after wards.

for instant when i do a flush
i drain coolant
add flushing chemical, and fresh water
run for 30mins, dump flush / water mix
fill with fresh water, run for 30 mins
dump water, refill with fresh water, run for a further 30 mins, dump and fill with new coolant
