what is needed to swap a square lamp ke70 to a twin round lamp one.
i think its:
grille
lamps
bonnet (?)
guards
how different are the guards? can it be panel beated to fit?

Nah, I think the parts that go around the headlight are a totally different shape. Could chop them I spose

ben there done that. I tryed hacking it up to fit, with no avail.
You cant modify them to fit, you need both guards. Dont need the bonnet tho.

anyone seen a green wagon driving around devo/takapuna with the twin round lights? its a mate of mine.. i just got the slanty front on mine but looks pretty cool without the front bumper

Isn't the bonnet on mine different though with the V shape? Are the guards the same? So just need lights, grille and guards?

the 80-82 can be swapped over reasonably easy but will need new holes drilled to mount the headlight unit. the grille and surrounds and valance(?) panel need to be swapped over.
the later ones would be a mission, but in saying that, i have 81 KE70 front and rear lights in my TE71, as well as bonnet, bumpers etc.

i have done mine and
the 80-82 can be swapped over reasonably easy but will need new holes drilled to mount the headlight unit. the grille and surrounds and valance(?) panel need to be swapped over.
dont need to drill any holes and u do need the small part of the loom that hooks them up and yes u do need the valvance

are you sure you don't need to drill holes to mount the headlight?
