Here is what I would do if I was turboing my AE111.
Pull off the head and sump etc,
Fit NEW toyota AE101 GZE pistons and rings from mr Revhead.
Now rods, Apparantly the blacktop ones are weak, but have no proof either way. for 8psi, i'd use the std one's but you will always want to run more boost, and for the price i'd fit s/h or new silvertop rods.
Bolt it back together with a new headgasket, rods bolts and head studs.
Get an exhaust manifold mead to suit you car and choice of turbo.
You will need a new plenium chamber made too as the split with pressure.
Plumb it all up.
Use the standard loom under the bonnet, unplg the AFM and bin it, and just tape up the wires out of the way.
Wire in a link ECU and get it tuned.
Away you go, all set.
This set up with silvertop rods will run ok up to the limit of the std injectors which i think is around 13 psi.
Everything else should be fine.
no need to upgrade fuel pump's, change blocks, cranks, loom's or gearbox, just leave it all std.
But thats only the way i would do it. Others may have different views.
