i built my own car along similar reasoning as Chrispy, i had a shedload of bits and a shell was saved from the crusher and fitted out. all up my TE71 owes me around the $3K mark, but that dosn't include any of the many donated man hours.

I am doing mine myself cause i have around 80-90% of the driveline components sitting here in my garages. Unless u have the bits i would strongly recommend buying a premade o=car

crispy'86 wrote:Another valid point with the build up of a rally car is if you buy someone elses car you don't know what parts they have tried and what bits fit and don't fit. It may save alot of time in the build-up process you don't have to undergo BUT after talking to passenger pete you'd be surprised how many other manufacturers parts line up with other components in the different cars
