I was lucky, and once you get the light off the car it is obvious how to pull them apart.

*reads post properly*
theres no screws on them.....
There are two recessed screws, on the top of the light as you look at it from the front.

does anybody know how it works? ie: how do the foglights know which way you are steering?

Mr Revhead wrote:oh, in that case you already have one!

hehe, 'porky luxo barge'.
Since my MR2 is the bare basics model (Not even a G limited - its a G!)
I dont have any of that fancy nonsense.
Last time I weighed my car (when it was considerably more laden down with unnecessary bits eg. Aircon ) my car weighed in at 1250 with me in it.
so 1250 less 80 kgs = 1170 with half a tank of gas.
Thats with aircon still attached, spare tyre etc, when I first got the car.
Ive ditched a few various bits and peices since then, I mean who needs fancy luxury items like a boot spring? Or a motorised radio aerial?
P.S. The gen I/II spoiler (the three piece one) weighs TWICE as much as a gen III spoiler (6kgs and 3kgs)

The old turbo argument.... Whatever you choose! Personaly, I don't really like turbo power. I can appreciate it. I know its powerful, I just don't prefer the method. It's over done. It's too simple (As in people just say "get a turbo au!"). I think I may try S/C'ing a 3SGE one day. Something a bit more original.
However, for now I'll stick with N/A. It's fun to drive, has much more power than my old Sunny did (Read: 3 x as much hehe) and handles well.
Not to mention, I'm under 25 and don't want to pay stupidly high insurance rates as well as more gas usage. It's more of a financially responsable state of mind.
