Do you no much about the 1jz??

Postby Gx71man » Tue Mar 08, 2005 10:30 pm

Rite. Im doin a 1jz swap into a cressida, i have had a look on the cressida fourms and found nothing regarding this matter.

It is a 1jz with a AUTO computer, loom, ect. I am putting in a manual box.
What should i do about the neutral/park start funtion (can only be started in n or park)

Any other things i gotta watch?? airbag fucn? Abs?

Also any body got any GOOD 1jz wirering diagrames???

NOTE: The cressida forums told me everything else tacho booster, crossmember, bla bla bla.

anybody put a 1j in anything else and come across these problems?

Cheers

If your car was originally auto there will be a neutral cut out switch, usually you can bypass this quite easily. Above the bellhousing area there should be two thickish black/white wires, simply bridge them. Will be in the same plug as the reverse lights etc most likely.
