my mate has recently brought an ae101 corolla with 4age, he is wanting to drop that engine out and put in a 4agze, what needs to be swapped? im guessing, engine wiring and computer, or is there more to it? and also how much do you rekon he will be looking at for it, we will be doing the work our self so pretty much just price of engine, box and loom to computer.

you just really want bigger injectors, and a stronger gear box, clutch and pressure plate. its pretty strait forward

it would be cheaper to convert the 20v to turbo.

Why would he need Bigger Injectors, stronger gear box?
He has said that they are strait swapping the 4AGE for 4AGZE, therfore the 4AGZE injectors & G/Box are going to be used

the ze runs bigger injectors and a stornger g-box

it wouls be a straight swap in motors and ecu and box

but like mr rev-head said just turbo the 20v

not quite a straight fit with the ecu.. some of it is integrated in the loom, and the looms are different... its not as easy as say fitting a 4age to a 4afe car

sorry, yea the loom would be diff, diff ecu plugs arint they?
