KE30/3k engine bay wiring help

Postby jeremiahnz » Thu May 26, 2005 10:54 am

I need help identifying where some plugs in the engine bay should go and what they are for. They maybe excess to requirements but if someone could confirm that, that would be great.

The plugs in question are circled in red in the pictures. Thanks in advance for any help!

The right hand side picture shows the little green plug that goes to the factory carb, with my aftermarket carb on my 4K i've just got this disconnected and it goes fine.

Ok, so there should be a wire coming off the carb somewhere that plugs up to this.

cheers for that

Yup, as far as I can remember there should be one wire coming off the factory carb, thats where it plugs into, and it is the right hand side picture as well, sorry.

im not sure what the one on the left is for, its just left hanging there on mine too. the wire which goes into the other side of the plug (should be black/white I think) is for the warning light from memory. this wire hanging out is just connected to the ignition...thats all i know. doesn't seem to be used for anything specifically that i can remember.

Middle pic looks like its the thermostat temperature sensor plug.
I dont think the 1st one is for anything, its not used on my 4k anyway.
