hmmm looks like the cold in the Manawatu is killing off braincells in the region? Or is it just the excessive inbreeding? Is Manawatu becoming the West Coast of the north island?

Ok Ok, I was wondering if a w58 short shift kit would fit in my w55?
Older supras run THE SAME TYPE OF BOX same shifter postions, same output shaft and same bell housings as a CRESSIDA.

So basicly i was asking somebody that KNOWS SOMTHING about supra boxes like,

Is this for a w58 or r154?? do the supras run a remote type shifing system? (Shifting stick NOT out the top of the Box)

Answer that fxgt.

Oh and thanks :?

non turbo JZA80's have a remote shifter, and the turbo's have an R154, so there's a very good chance it wont fit yours. Buy the hacksaw, use it

you can move the pivot upwards by cutting below it and welding a new section beneath. Then get a spacer cut to move stick upwards the same amount you moved the pivot up (to compensate for the added length below the pivot), and you have the same thing as these guys are selling.

probably $300ish. It's a G series, won't your Cressida be an F series?

aren't the F series smaller diameter crown wheels? I really know nothing about diffs in RWDs. The Diff is actually out of a MA70 (7MGTE), the GA70 originally had a 1GGTE, previous owner nearly put a 454 v8 in it, I nearly put a 1JZGTE in it, before deciding I had too many cars to realistically finish them all, and the guy who bought it off me is going to put a 7MGTE into it :)
But due to the recent lack of luck in selling the R154 I have thought a couple of times about getting another Cressida (used to have an MX73) doing what you've done. Except that I only really want a Cressida for towing, so I'd rather just have a deregistered auto 5MGE like the old one that I put fake plates on whenever I need to use it :D

LOL fake plates, i want a auto runabout, cressida, corona or summint.
Those 5m-ge's in the cressida's are 8:8:1 compression, just bolt on a 7mgte manifoild and turb muck round with the afm you would be in
 i wouldnt trust it, prob blow up after 5 minuites.

Turbo JZA80s use the Getrag V160. JZA70s use the R154 non remote shift.
