SAFC 4AGTE

Postby willsf1 » Sat Aug 06, 2005 7:45 pm

Was wondering if anyone has tried running an apexi SAFC Gen 1 on a 4agte? Would it be possible to run after market injectors say 440's instead of using an extra injector and powerlink?

I use a gen 1 SAFC on my 4EF-TE I know the engines are different but I have put larger injectors in and the SAFC runs them fine without the need for any extra injector etc.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I do not recommend this.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

Running 315's over a Stock 295 wouldn't be a major task to achieve, but 440's on a 4agte might be a little harder.

yeh a safc will work well, but the more % decrease the more your timing gets advanced, so you may have to retard the dizzy slightly.. dudes use em on hondas all the time , upgrading from stock 240cc injectors to 450cc

4agze injectors are around 365, so some vr4 injectors would be good.

Im doing a 4agze -gte conversion td04 15psi max but want to look in to a fuel system to support a td05 and extra boost. I was thinking supra or vr4 injectors with the afc???

safc will just increase the timing too much and cause it to detonate.

Better option is a powerlink extra injector controller.

For not a huge amount more than a SAFC you could get a link.

dont use a tdo4 over 13psi, they have a tendancy to snap shafts,
imo a td04 is too small and a waste of time on a 4agte.

AFAIK the MAP ecu, although it removes the AFM (on an AFM motor), as far as fuel control goes, it's in the same boat as the SAFC, if you put bigger injectors in, and consequently have to lean the a/f out, it'll advance timing which is the enemy of boost.
And why don't they have a price on the website?
