Jack the car up, put it in neutral, turn 1 wheel by hand - the other wheel should spin the same direction. This works on a rwd - dunno about fwd
Don't tell anyone, but I bought a Corolla so I could beat some Hondas on TvH days :P

that only works if you have a viscous type doesnt it?

as with a plate/torsen type you need drive to tighten the plates in order for the lsd to work.

coz i can jack up the rear of one of gadgets rz supras (with torsen lsd) and turn one wheel and the other wheel stays static or turns the opposite way

i reccomend this method for sure :D make sure theres no fences/bushes or houses in the way tho

yeah and results will be as follows:

just a brown skid where grass used to reside: non-LSD

same brown skid as above + bonus black skid on concrete = LSD

just gas it off an intersection in the wet. u shud b able to feel both whells spining and not loose too much traction plus a non lsd will lite up easily while corning too.
best idea of all the is the grass one.

ive also been told jack the car up, put in neutral, sum1 hold one wheel and sum else try to turn the other wheel, if lsd the guy trying to turn the other wheel will be able to, if no lsd when the guy trys to turn the wheel he will hav to fight against the other guy holding the wheel, is that right???this is what a mate has told me

put it nose first into a ditch, with 3 wheels in the air, one hard down in the ditch.

If you can reverse out, Its lsd
If you only spin the outside wheel, its not ;).

thus, my trueno is lsd!

as you can see, the car is "nose first" into the bank, with the arse end up, there is a ditch, in which the car went down into first, before plouging itself *up* (i guess it did a wee hop off the ridge into the bank).

but people leaning on the boot / rear, and me reversing, it drove right out.

My understanding of a torsen diff...
If one driven wheel is not touching the ground then there will be no torque transmitted to the other wheel.
The torsen (i think) transfers 5(?) times the torque to the non slipping wheel. So if wheel in air, torque = 0 ...... 5 times 0 = 0
On grass - you will get torque transferred to other wheel, but not heaps
On tarmac loads of torque transferred = happy driver

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
