they're about $200 new ive heard too

i haven't got an O2 sensor in my 4age bluetop at the moment and im having problems with it overfueling and smoking black smoke, i dont think thats the only problem though - a faulty cold start injector or something like that is also contributing to it!

um try 400 odd for a silvertop, so im guessing a blacktop would be about the same.

Or you could just buy a link, i dont think you need an o2 sensor with them??? well thats what someone told me when i was having issues with mine

Without an O2 sensor, or an O2 sensor failure the car should automatically over fuel. It will decrease performance and wash the cylinders (causing increased wear) but is preferrable to lean detonation or over heating.
It most certainly should have an O2 sensor. And by the way, going from the standard 4-2-1 to a 4-1 system will have lost you mid range horsepower and possibly some top end as well. Your working old world if you still believe a 4-1 system can outperform a 4-2-1 system in any circumstance, modern collectors have changed that sygnificantly.

The standard system is very good, we have a blacktop here in CHCH running 212hp with standard extractors. He also flowed them and stated there was little if anything to gain by going aftermarket.
The answer is Helmholtz!

hey
hope you didnt get pitstop gisborne to do it ah
i wouldnt let anyone in gisborne do an exuast systemiv heard nothing but bad things about all the places who do them in gizzy they seem to not know enough about performance and quality work etc , hit them up for sure they have to replace it or pay for it under the fair trading act etc.

yeh man definately get them to put in the 02 sensor. its not difficult and i dont understand why they wouldnt have refitted it. the car will run badly cosidering with the 02 sensor disconnected it will run open loop and probably even on limp mode, over fueling etc, more than likely retard the timing back etc

the engine could suffer major long term damage from not having it connected.. think major bore was, contaminated oil.. bottom end bearing issue and more. so uv heard it from every 1, get it put in ;)
