Postby Santa'sBoostinSleigh » Fri Sep 16, 2005 6:50 pm

Tomorrow my cars getting a wee bit of a service, gunna do oil + filter change, wash it, new wiper blades, vacuum it out and also change the shocks and springs.

ive got a set of Tein Springs and hopefully my brand spanking new Toyota Genuine shocks will arrive tomorrow *shakes fist at RevHead*

is there anything i need to consider or do specially?

ive got a spring compressor, air compressor, rattle gun, axel stands... what else do i need to have/consider?

Check the brake pads, all fluid levels, tyre pressures, cv boots etc etc....

I always thought that once you had new springs installed to leave the wheel alignment for a week or so to let them settle in?

your alignment will be waaaay out afterwards, and you do run the risk of stuffing up ya tyres. can happen in a stupidly short time

make sure you have a decent 1/2 power bar an a 1/2 socket for the lower strut bolts.
Also on the rear you need a alin key to remove the sway bar... its bit of a bitch but keep working onit
