I would be very surprised if it wast a problem with the headunit internally. The only other things that would cause it other than, say, an OEL inverter fault, would be impact damage, or a corroded contact on the faceplate or unit :)

Fixed. Believe it or not it was some magical wire. I was working on some guages today and used the stereo battery, ground, and parklights wires which require me re-doing the wiring. I guessing it was the ground so the HU aint putting out weird noises as well now.

Things are looking up :D.
