hmm well thats me beat then. then again, the distributor was replaced as well.

althought before you replace it, try cleaning the points in the dizzy.

Is the engine actually getting fuel? Could be the fuel pump or is the air filter badly blocked? Which would cause it to be starving for either fuel or air or both.

Have replaced the fuel pump, and it's got a brand new Ramflo ( :lol: ) on it... 8)

i have heard of them sometimes giving grief

After replacing and testing EVERYTHING, disconnecting the tacho I had installed has stopped the miss... 8)

Nope, it was just hooked up to the negative side of the tacho, it's one of those little 2 inch cheap Trisco ones...

Put it this way, it used to ALWAYS miss at least twice in a 5 - 10 minute drive, and after disconnecting it, it hasn't missed the last 4 times I have driven it for 10 or so minutes, so fingers crossed. :D
