it's not gona wipe the maps in them, will reset it as such, so if you had fault codes come up, disconnect it, ideally after you check what codes it was, reconnect, after say a minute, and there will be no fault codes. everything should be fine.

happends with most cars that have computer in them,

just on a sidenote, what happens with Eboost's Eboost2's, other EBC's, Vafc's Safc's etc and other "piggy back" controllers?

What if you change the battery while you have those, do they reset, do they somehow save their maps yada yada?

hmm, i doubt that it would affect the safc's etc, but posibbly the boost controllers, unless they store their settings, so next time its on it works like it used to?

you can connect a small battery (eg 9v) to the terminals when changing to store memory to things that do loose them (e.g. mainly on stereos). But yea, aside from that wont be a problem with any standard car.
Cant believe im still a member here.

The eboosts wont lose their memory, as they only connect to the acc for their power source. Otherwise they would lose their memory everytime you turn off the car.
