it seams to do it most of the time when you first start it when its cold

but it can still do it when it warm and you just start it

that other thing that is rearly starting to piss me off is when you have your foot the gas pedal then take it off the car jerks , its as if the throttal butterflys are bouncing

it dose it even when you take your foot off rearly slowly

any one have any idear as to what could be causing this??

i have driven silver top corolla's that have done this to

Yes I know this problem. My car (AE111 Blacktop BZT) does exactly the same when cold.

I have not chased the problem too much but I believe the only way to fix it is to fit a Catch can to the breather to prevent the fumes from getting into the intake.

I put it down to when it is cold the pistons have not expanded and there is extra blow by in the engine, and as most people know the oil fumes cause detonation which the knock sensors detect's and retards the timing.

It is the retarding and advancing of the timing that you feel.

So in summary, Fit a Catch can.

hi i supose that could be posible but if that was the case then would expect to see oil resadue in the intake piping wouldnt you ???

mine was rearly clean when i got it from japan and after doing 7,000 km in it there is still no oil on the pipes

it has also not used a drop of oil in 7,000km running it on semi synthectic

if i were to fit one of thoes small filters to the breather that would do much the same thing as the oil catch can wouldnt it

i will give that a try

You may not see oil as it is the oil vapour that is the problem not actual oil.

If it is a blacktop you can disconnect both the pcv hoses and leave them open to atmosphere for a short time to try.

Possibly,

The fault I was referring to was the car running like crap when cold.
