MR2 T (1993) VS 30zx TT (1992)

Postby UZZ30 » Mon Jan 02, 2006 9:43 pm

Pretty similar cars, visually and speed wise. Mainly the turbo models.

Both have the tagra tops and come in that bright red.. colour

So what would you take? (both manual and stock)

The mr2 2 litre turbo (240HP, 1250kg) or the big 300zx v6 TT (300hp, 1550kg)

Their performance is very similar mr2 has a wieght KG to Power Kw ratio of around 6.9kg/per kw,

the 300zx is around 6.9kg/per kw so they are matched for power on the ground!

Only difference is ones mid engined and the others front. Plus the z is like a boat.. to some people :P

MR2. Faster for less dollars. I'm assuming by 1993 model you mean the 10.93 and newer which is 241hp. 0-100 under 6 seconds. 1/4 mile mid to high 13s out of the box.

Get the ZX if you want a big car with no space, or the 2 if you want a smaller car with no space....Both of them have about the same potential, both of them are a pain in the ass to work on

And are you going to poll every car known to man before you buy one?? :P

An MR2 for sure, Z's are an understeering pig of a thing. Plus if you think MR2's are hard to work on, look under the bonnet of a Z 8O

HAHAHAHHAHHA @ pretty similar cars.

Ones a cruiser, the other is a cruiser thats made to go quick :D.

MR2 turbo for sure, alot more room than you think, (and a 300zx can only take 2 people comfortably anyway).

and Mr2 would whop on the 300... big whales off the mark, just.. ug.. no... and the mr2 can corner!

I also agree with CozmoNz, the Z is alot more of a cruiser than the MR2 and is rather small inside.. the rear 2 seats are a joke! Plus due to the weight the mr2 would corner slightly better..

GTO lol there the most hideous cars ive ever seen! Just a typical big dumb mistubishi.. that breaks.. :P They have Gay writen all over them.

I think a better comparison for the Z would be the Supra TT, but it never crossed my mind when i made this poll. :?

I would definately go the 2 seater Z. You can get a lot of extra power out of a zed just by changing the ECU.

Any car enthusiast would cringe at the thought of a Z. The old ones were pretty cool, but the 300ZX is a big fat whale, you'd might as well get a Commodore or something, atleast then you can have passengers.

Also I think the 300ZX and GTO are a great comparison, both big heavy 3L V6 Twin Turbo POS. :)
