20v power steering belt part number?

can anyone tell me the part number of the belt i need for the power steering for the silvertop 20v.
not running the a/c compressor, just crank tensioner and p/s pump

I think 20valves never came out without AC... You could try NZ NEW Corolla GTI belt, they did come out without AC, as well as the tensioner bit (as it has got grooves)...

I have just removed the a/c and made an adjustor (bolts to the right hand side top two bolts on the pump itself) so I could use the factory 101 bracket, i used a 5pk890 belt.

Your crank tensioner won't work in that configuration. It works on compression not tension as such wont work without the AC pulley there. You'll need to either make up a new tensioner or modify the PS pump mount to make it lever outwards to tension the belt.
The size of the belt will depend on how you end up developing your tensioner.

Now why didn't you tell me that two years ago.... mind you I still would have gone with modifying the PS pump bracket.... belt runs around pulleys for longer and its slightly lighter.... every gram counts... Thats why I'm a lean 100kg machine.

dont know what belt size but on my blacktop to ditch the aircon unit just put a nut on the ajusting bolt on the other side of the bracket from the bolt head and it will reverse the factory tensioners pressure direction, this idea came after almost a year of living with that bloody thing. i hate them

Might just be me, but I managed to bend the tensioner bolt using it in the above described fashon.
I'd go with Sergei's idea or modify the PS pump mount.

your car might just be too hard out for that.

will the ps system be alright if i dont run the belt to start off with?
till i sort something out?
