Depends totally on your car.

Is it front wheel drive, mid engined, NA, turbo, what?

details details!

Even so, experimenting at the track is the only way to find out for sure.

I find launching in a fwd at about 2500-3000rpm is a good way to start. If you rev it up too much you get wheel spin. Tho 4wd just go nuts. :D

What is it exactly?

Some cars need to be raped off the line because they have all of 110 hp and some need a bit of.. . . finesse.

If you haven't found out by now.... what kind of boyracer are you?

You have to practise to find the best way to launch, sc aw11 mr2s prefer the clutch just to be dropped at around 5000rpm or more, but the later turbo mr2s launch really well when you slip the clutch slightly till the wheels bite.

I'd try slipping the clutch on a fwd to get it off the line, my ex's gt starlet was like that, pop the clutch and it would fry the tyres, but you could get the tyres to bite if you slipped it slightly at 4000rpm or so.

I found that slightly slipping the clucth off the Line in my GT Starley like Al said best was the best way to launch..

They're all lying.

Use the factory launch controller - its set at around 7 - 8000 on the majority of cars.

Right foot on the ground, sidestep the left one. Easy peasy.

HAHAHA Do that, and take a camera, show us the results!

I find launching my supra to give it shit (bout 3-4g rpm) just a solid one hit rev, then when it starts falling back down let the clutch out and ease the foot back on, too much clutch, and she cooks, to little, and she'll over fuel and then underfuel, ruining the luanch.(but then again, completely differant car, and its a c**t to launch) launchings for pussies, running starts the way to go :P

best way to launch? Get a GT4 with lots of power and a good clutch. Rev to 6,000rpm, sidestep off clutch - 1.7 60 foot :D

Best way to launch is redline, drop the clutch, order and fit a new clutch, or if your tyres are not up to scratch then order and fit new tyres. Repeat the process until your bank account is empty
