Quad Throttle Body swap

after hearing of some Quad Throttle Bodys for sale im wondering if they will fit straight onto my 1v red top 4aGE,also can you get many gains out of putting them on?

Definitely - the aftermarket ECU you buy to run the engine with the quads should unleash a few extra horses :D

itb's + aftermarket ecu.

otherwise your motor will blow up from excess fuelling.

And they wont just plug up to your 16 valve.. you'll either need to create or buy an adaptor.

Talking quads. I know that alot of aftermarket tuners do not like them. I hear the problems of poor vac signals etc. Im setting up some quads at the moment on a custom manifold. Any tricks I should know of? It seems that from the info ive read you are best to have a single vac area/container fed by all 4 runners(that you take your vac signal off), and also having balance pipes in between the runners.
Sound about right?

they are hard to tune relative to single throttle.

best for me has been 3 runners tee'd together with a dampener. (I don't care for balance tanks/bars/whatever).
1 runner fed to brake booster.

or karl you can just run the quads off the tps and run the map to atmospere like i do

This dampner. Is that the little unit sometimes screwed into the manifold that the map sensor feeds off?

little round dampener.. common on anything with emissions gear on a carb...
not all are the same.
