Thanks for the words!
Yes, I check in to Toyspeed quite a bit, but don't get a lot of time to post- NZPC takes a fair bit of the posting energy!
Thanks for your support and encouragement- the Supra project has been a big ask this year and a huge financial drain, so it was really exciting to reach to target- a street-car 9- on only the 8th pass of the season.
To answer a few of your questions:
Yes, the car has run two 9's now.
Top pass was a 9.915 @ 219kph, although it ran at 222kph the pass before.
It now runs a T88-34D- and not just any old T88, but the original T88 off the Croydon Skyline- a bit of history lives on!
The 'box is a GM TH400 reverse-pattern 3-speed with transbrake and 3000rpm stall. The box was built here in NZ by The Gearbox Factory, with a torque converter built for me by Boostlogic in Austin, Texas. It's still really streetable!
Also new this year is a GReddy intake plenum, 1000cc top-feed injectors and an HKS alloy top-feed rail, Infiniti Q45 throttle body, NOS 75hp shot to spool up the turbo on the transbrake (it shuts off at 14lb) and the Powr-FC has gone in favour of a complete re-loom and new Link G2, with Kenny Bell ignition amplifier and new Bosch coil packs.
At this stage the power is still around 500kW at the wheels- dyno before the NSDW last was 497- but it's back at Torque Performance where we aim to run a couple of extra lb boost and run a slightly leaner tune.
A full speclist is loaded up on the Mkiv webpage
www.mkiv.co.nz and I've just completed making a short video clip in-car from the 10.2 at the Nats which I'll get loaded up onto our own website
www.croydons.co.nz next week.
We're running tomorrow night at the NSDW / Battle Day Round 2, feel free to come over, say hi, ask to look under the hood if it's closed. Happy to talk to anyone about it.
Cheers and thanks,
Graeme Macdonald
