anyone got a big old car?

Postby barryogen » Wed Feb 08, 2006 4:07 pm

I'm after one with a stuffed/missing engine/GB... I'm looking for a bit of a project, essencially a crusing car, something classic and classy(valiant charger like), that would suit a Toyota/Lexus V8 conversion.

essencially as rust free as possible.

I've been doing the rounds with a few mates and the only thing we can find is either someone elses project, or about 10k too rich for me(for a rolling chassis with rust wtf? 8O )

so who can "hook a ni66er up bro, chur"?

You should have bought the Crown for $300 when you had the chance. SOO much room for an 8 in that. Plus it looked awesome...

PUT A 1UZ IN MY KE36!

btw, if anyone has a spare 350 lying around, I know where you can get rid of it

for the hassle involved in finding a decent one, I could just do an R32 or similar(although nowhere near as cool)... that'd be a true bastard (as in child) car...they're cheap enough with 2L Autos, so just pull it out, and chuck in either a v8 or 6 turbo(insert rota joke here) could be fun, and a good waste of money.

thanks for that. weirdly enough I just looked it up, and the Soarer V8(and 6 Turbo) has similar specs to the 265(HP an Torque wise), so would make an ideal replacement... although a few more horses might be more fun.

nice pic, but from driving one(b18C civic) in the weekend, it's(the b18C) kinda over-rated, the top end is nice, but it takes forever to get going(rev nicely unloaded, but once loaded takes an age to do anything). the 2zz feels like it has an incredible bottom and mid comparded to it.

Go race something with I-VTEC (latest Type R (or is it s?) Integras?)
