Yeah it is an excuse just shows how gutted I am the Imports lost especially Reece's GTR. My workmate co-owns the car with Skoty that was racing Docile so we go at it hard when it comes to V8s vs Imports.

lol imports will always lose
io mean sorry but when was teh last time you saw anythign japanese do a 4 second 1/4 mile

theve come a long way yest
but theve barly cut teh surface when it comes to drag racing
the v8 boys have been doing this for 10x longer so they have a hell advantage

bit like going to a chess compation after playing for a few weeks and expecting to winn

Please dont rub it in  . I know thats the bitter truth and you'd be a fool if you didnt already know that, but wheres the fun in siding for both sides. For a worked Import to beat a worked V8 is probably the ultimate achievement, grudge wise...!!!
Sorry for getting off the topic..!! 8)

i dunno if it much of achevement
your racing a old carberated crust v8 made from off teh shelf parts in your hi tech turboed cars

ther are many n/a v8's that will do a 8-9 second pass in street trim out there
you would have to run 3 baron a 2l to compete with a 7.9 litre v8 in a package the same wieght

it only takes mild cams ,extractors and sorted carberation for a 500ci engine to make 1000+ hp and some jaw dropping torque figga

(nto to mention the engine prolly wieghs teh same as a whole evo :D

and ves bak on topic

Because if you are always used to a "4, 3, 2, 1, GO!" countdown,

and then if you have to use the "Ready, Go" system

that the others are all used to it makes a big difference.

You'd be surprised how much it takes to get used to the lights,

(and you'd be surprised how my drag racing experience has improved my standing start grid take off's at circuit racing)

I'm just basing my statments on what I saw on the day and TV3, the commentators commented on it and being the usual trend with the majority of the Imports on the day just seemed a bit of an issue...!! :?
