smooth polished surface flows air better, causes less turbulence in intake air and also resists heat better than the factory pipe, therefore keeping intake air cooler which means denser which means more power

but most of bling pipes are not polished inside, save yourself money and use plain alloy pipe as the flow difference between two is minimal.

even better, use PVC pipe because it wont conduct as much heat into your intake :)

And wrap it in tinfoil as a heat reflector, then zip tie it on.

well PVC pipe is other exteme, it is too soft for some application and it can actually melt if it is near exhaust. I'm not fan of toilet induction, unless pipes are black.

ha! laugh all you like but PVC really isn't that bad. You can put a layer of epoxy on it to prevent it softening (although I haven't seen it soften in an enginebay unless it's near something hot). It seems dodgy, but remember a lot of the factory intake piping is rubber or plastic, although I think the plastic used is usually ABS or something with a higher melting point, but it is harder to get in pipe form I think.
