Does the dash have a rev counter?? My shift light works perfectly off
this feed in my AE101 GTZ
If it doesn't fit, force it.
If it breaks it needed replacing anyway!

In other words what deaf rattle is saying is that you just jam the wire to the shift light into the IG terminal plug inside the diagnostic box and have it running out of there its by far the easiest way. The terminal will be shown on the diagnostic box lid on the inside. I did that on my gtz for a while which also run coil packs and it worked fine.

Also depends what type of shift light you have, if it uses pills then you wont be able to take it off the back of the dash.

I think the diagnostic box is somewhere inside the cabin in those things, somewhere under the dash. Not sure exactly where though
