Congratulations toyspeeders for making the effort to come down & represent your chosen brand.
2 cars is a great effort :!:
Myself & HELBND where the only toyotas there in a sea of Hondas. Was a great day of racing. Got about 17 runs in over the day & ran a new PB of 14.92 so it was $30 well spent. Surprise surprise an honda took out the just about every class. I went down to an EK SiR hatch in my secound round of the eliminations. He ran a 14.3s.

was an awesome day - i got 24 runs in, and i left 2 hours before finish, so could have gotten plenty more. The MR2 ran a fastest time of 15.43s which i was pretty stoked about :D

next time, im planning to not race wth a full tank of gas, and possibly let som air out of my rear tires. that should help me shave a lil bit off that time

a little bit off topic... but does anyone actually read that auckland section other than the guys that go to the weekly meets??
I would have made the trip down from whangarei to get slayed in the 2wd forced induction class.
When in doubt, down and out.

Oh i though you where bondie, I didn't realise there where 2 black EK hatches racing. What mods have you done to yours? I've heard EKs are quite hard to get good power out of with the factory ecu.

SilverTe what have you done to that primera :?: The first time I went to the drag wars in my standard AE101 Levin I delt to every primera i raced. & my best in that was only a 15.8. I was pretty impressed with yours

trueno_20v 146.3kph on average. I think the fastest i ran was 148 but with a slightly slower ET

Pretty impressive for those basic mods. My mate was looking at getting an EK SiR but got put off coz he read that the factory ecu's reset them selfs back to standard settings after a while when you do I/E. May it's just the american models that do that? In the states they replace the ecu with an EG one to get around this problem. He did test drive a few & wasn't that impressed with them. He then looked at EK9's but they where over $20K at the time. He ended up getting a Peugeot 306 GTi6 & keeping his EF3 & is trying to build a B16 eating ZC with some mugen bits

Here's a few pics of me from the day

My mera just has pod, and exhaust, with slightly modded factory headers. 14.80@150km/h. My little cuz in his black primera that was racing did a 15.3 and hes stock apart from a pod filter. Was damn fun racing all the other NA cars. Had a couple of good drags with some integras too. Cant wait for the next one ;)
