The mechanic has said that if I want anything special, to mention it... I'm compiling a list at the moment...
any idea if the ECU will be able to handle a compression drop from 11.5 to 8.8? until I have money to add some boost(and after market ECU)?(yes I know it will drop performance)

Its kinda short notice though from the check oil light to the check engine/ engine stop. I would of thought toyota would of made the engine on the safer side.
Sorry to hear dude.
What sort of cams you looking ordering? Getting a linkplus ecu now too?

from what I understand, they are normally fairly good unless you miss a gear change right on redline, as it "predicts" the gear change, changes cam timing, and then gets it all messed up... atleast thats how I understand it from reading it on forums(always truthful forums though )

apparently the bores are fairly tight as well as being made of "soft"(reletive to the usual) material... you can buy iron sleeves for them in the US, basically just bore out 1mm, slide the sleeves it, and it makes the engine stronger(from what I've read)... also makes them more likely to accept boost.

does your car have traction control,
or do you rev it to the limiter occasionally?
