xtreme.drifting: What model 4age is it? 20V, 16V, bluetop, redtop, etc.

If you think its detonating you may want to check your base timing, should be set to 10 degrees with te1 and e1 bridged. If your going to use 10 degrees you should really run 98 octane, as in japan they are designed to run on 100 octane. This doesn't include the early big port which have low static compression and should be fine on 95.

4AGES dont have tappets. They use shim under bucket or over bucket depending on what year 4age. You can reset the clearences for your shims which may help quite it down a little.

Could be worn bearings, piston slap.

You may also want to check your fuel pressure and injectors to make sure it isn't running lean, or if you can just get an A/F check 8)

Also do a compression test to check if your bores or rings are excessively worn.
