fmic 4agze

Postby bluemaumau » Mon Mar 06, 2006 4:53 pm

ok i got my ze but as im puttin it in the wagon i have no scoop, so i want to use a fmic.

ae92 afm 4agze.

does the intake piping have too run over the head?

does any1 have any tricks or tips for this??? :?:

or i could just put the scoop onto my bonnet? - is that possible without having too bog etc?

id rather go fmic as i heard the top mounts can heat up nicely.

but yea your help and opinions welcomed.

btw eventually this will be 4agte.

cheers will

if your desperate for a front mount you can buy mine with piping for a fair price... it sucks as far as response goes tho... i'm looking to go water to air...

im sure there would a bit of a difference in response. but is it really that much?

evil si quoted approx 600 -750.

but id rather just use the top mount and wait for the turbo so i dont waste money on temporary pipework.

is it sweet just too cut a hole and chuck the scoop in?

thanks ih8tec that was good pictures

run around without a bonnet with your topmount so that you have to turbo it sooner

the response with my sc14 is horrible, it gets rid of the axel snapping torque that the standard cooler has...

bumping this up ppl

looking at the setup on trademe.

id rather go air to air. as it looks more benificial power wise.

however i dont want to roast my engine either.

also its gonna cost alot.

what do you think?

standard or vr4 fmic?

if i was to get a fmic, would it be better to get a smaller diameter piping, say 1.5 or 1.75" to reduce or lag? :?

The idea of squirters is that water dissapates heat better so it aids the cooling, you still need airflow through the core. The example i was given is that when you have water on your skin the air chills you more, eg when you get wet you dry off so that you warm up...

Then keep the cash ur spending on this for the conversion. You'll have enough power to keep you happy till you turbo it. Dont do things twice...
