Alternator Regulators

Postby Corona » Fri Apr 14, 2006 2:23 pm

For some time I have not had a No Charge Warning light. Now I know that when I ground the wire from the alternator the light goes on. I also know that it is charging as I have not got a flat battery.
What I would like to know is can I swap the 2 regulators that I have here. The one in the bottom Right is one I "Acquired" from PaP, or are the not the same. It was out of a Camry/Whyndam.

should be fine swapping them, they should be set for the same reg. voltage. Why do you plan to swap anyway? Is your's under/over charging?

The Charging seems to be Ok, its just the No charge warning light not working. Thats all.

I'll have a go at swapping them at some stage when I get my other problem sorted out.
