brake master cylinder ae92

i have failed my wof because of a suspected leaking brake master cylinder...

the guy said if it wasnt leaking to dry it up and take it back clean.

if it is leaking what is involved with replacing/fixing this?

Its just a matter of replacing th seals, but if the cylinder is corroded then you might have get a new master cylinder, or a non corrroded second hand one.

its like 3 bolts from memory if you need to replace it + all the lines

+ i guess youll need to bleed the system

Where the $&#$% is that oil leak coming from /club

looking for enkei RP01 center caps (white)

Ill have a look for a new cylinder at work for you no point in changing seals when a whole new unit aint gonna be much more expensive

what he said, unless it's an oddball (not likely). my old boss used to get me to have wheel cylinders re-kitted all the time, when a brand new cylinder was 3/4 price of the kit, let alone adding labour onto it.

if the cars got a EFI 4age which im guessing it is, it will take a bit of time to get at, as i wrecked one and it still looked like a mission to get at if the motor etc was in the car.

true ive only done it with no engine, im sure its possible, just may be a pain
