removing the pulley, it uses the two threaded holes on the pulley, picture rectngle bar and in the centre is a long threaded portion (pushes against where the bolt went) then connect a long bolt through the rectangle bar and into each hole on the pulley,

then turn the centre bolt and it pushes against the crack and pulls the pulley

hope thats too bad of a description

yes, but you wont damage anything like the pulley edges or such, especially where the timing mark is cause thats a right biatch  from using screwdriver or such.

oh and it pulls it off squarly

do not tap, hit or pry it off, it will render it useless. use the correct puller.

spray the crank with some "rost off" rust penetrant or crc, something that will enable any form of surface rust penetrantation and slide it on and off (back and forward) with the pulley puller .
Should be of some help as i've done this to all my engines

Yeah prying on the outside can damage the dampner like Simon suggests! Pullers locate on the inner part of the balancer so no damage is done.

So you havent got the bolt off?? You honestley need a Rattle gun aye, The only other option apart from that is using Large polly grips to lock the crank and stop it turning by wedging them against the ground etc and using a long breakdown bar, make sure you use 6 point not 12 point sockets so you dont strip the bolt, do that and your in a whole lot of trouble
