vvt not working?

it has been suggested that the vvt in my corolla is no longer working.
is this an easy fix? or should i not worry about it?

well dos it feel slower?

put 12v on the solinoid while idling see if it goes lumpy... eliminate the pully an solinoid, then work the way back

yeah, car feels noticebly slower.
revs right out still but definately slower

doesnt seem to pull as much in the high revs either

VVT is disabled obove 6k. I think you are looking at more of a missfire issue.

6k? all silvertop ecu's cut it on redline

Its not 6k, and its not redline, i can't quite remember, but I had a VVT light in my 20v, and it goes out around 800ish before redline i think. Def more than 6k though, and it deff isnt redline.

And you test if its working (the accutal pulley), you need to do the 12v test.

Sorry I never ran a stock ECU. I was attempting to quote an older post of Revheads, however it appears I got the cuttoff incorrect.

I know blacktop's turn off b4 redline (before silvertop turns it off I think even) but every ecu iv had in mine has been redline facelift an sard 101 ecu's

a issue were blacktop vvt may not work is a overheating part in the ecu that fries itself, havent seen it but there is a site all about it, havent seen it with silvertop, so if anythings failed Its prolly the pully or solinoid
