4AGE flywheels and clutches

Postby Stealer Of Souls » Wed May 31, 2006 10:31 am

Hey.

Is there any reason I couldn't use the bluetop clutch and cover on a blacktop flywheel?
I'm guessing the only real issue would be that the flywheel will wear to the smaller clutch. Then when I wanted to use the bigger clutch and cover I'd need to get the flywheel machined, which may result in the flywheel being too thin or something like that...

Is there any other reasons?

Has anyone actually tried to fit a 213 clutch and cover into a K50?
I've read that it doesn't fit, but a quick trial with the broken box I have at home, it looks like it might actually fit...

Im assuming he wants to use the Blacktop flywheel because it is pretty light, and cheaper/safer than machining the blue top one.

Id like to know the same Q too.

That's the nail.

Got a blacky sitting in the closet. And am thinking of using it. But at the same time, when I finally get off my A and sort out a T50 I'd wanna use the slightly bigger clutch face. Would seem a little silly to unduly wear the blacky and need to get it machined...

I dunno...
