people seem to be moving away from these things.
what can be done to make it more affordable?
maybe people should set up autiomatic payments of $5-10/week into the TS account to be able to afford it or something.
Hmmm....

I guess Toyspeed lacks commitment.
Silent Knight wrote:Adrian that might sound like a viable idea but it would cause major amounts of overhead/admin work to contstantly keep track of everyone that is paying in to one account and what the end amount is going to be and getting the money moved backwards and forwards etc.
At the end of the day the main costs involved are petrol/food and accomodation. Petrol being the main one. With that said how exactly are people going to be able to pay for their gas when their money is in the TS account?
The only thing that would be good for is paying for accomodation. And maybe food if it is organised so that there will be a communal dinners/lunch etc. And again with that said, someone would then need to take responsibility for buying and preparing food and also take into concideration vegetarians etc etc etc.... Again allot of work involved.

however i was a bit dissapointed that there was way more out-of-towners present than there was Aucklanders!
gurutasker wrote:When we get back from Trackday this weekend I'll hopefully find some time during the week to have a look around at some places for accomodation. The problem with accomodation mainly being that you will probabley have to book well in advance, and then people need to be committed to it, this trackday being a prime example of how that can fall through, which is sad after all the effort that went in to preparing it. (And I don't think many people would be keen on the incentive of non-refundable deposits or something like that)
Never the less I will try Stay Tuned.
